A jolly good evening!!

Well after my daily trip to my nans, I met one of my friends for some dinner, she's one of my crazy friends, which I love! Always have a lot if laughs. So out evening dinner turned into shopping and a visit to a piercing shop. Which to my amusement my friend got her piercing done ( well after 30 minutes of trying to get some answers out of him...... On a scale of 1 to 10 how much will it hurt). We then made our way to dinner Italian it was and after the cheeky chappies to server us, we had a pretty good evening! Just an ordinary night out for dinner with the added inclusion of shopping and piercings : )

Short hair : )

So yesterday I had some free time to create some classic styles for short hair : )
Firstly today I'm starting with yet again curls, you can create the curls with the smallest rollers you get within the heated rollers pack then run your fingers through your hair to break up the curl and give added body using a good hair spray : )
These days there are many different types of curling equipment to choose from, I am going to try and help you decide which product is best for you to use at home!
To he completely honest my heart will always lye with the heated rollers, the shorter the hair the smaller the rollers.
However you can curl with your straighteners, curling tongs and recently a wand has become more popular.

So let me start with straighteners, I think this is another great way to curl and is most defiantley at the top of my list aswell as rollers! Remember at birthdays and Christmas's where you would score the ribbon on a present with scissors that is one of the simplest ways to learn with curling hair, you want to put straighteners at the top of your hair secure your hair in place (but working quickly) turn the straighteners with the hair in 360 degrees and pull through your hair, simple as that just like scoring ribbon. BUT remember to work quickly, this is high heat your dealing with so be very very careful and quick. If your not sure at first how to do it practise the motion on your hair with straighteners switched off!

So curling tongs are pretty simple to use : ) its kind of a given of how to use them, secure the hair in the clip on the tongs and wrap around. This will only work on certain hair types, finer hair is always better with tongs but remember to use a good volume product before you dry it and a good flexible spray. As always be very careful as they are HOT HOT HOT.

So the wand hey! Im not a big fan if I'm completely honest! Wrapping around the wand is completely fine but the ends are very hard to get to curl, although you do get a "heat protected glove" I don't find that this makes a huge difference. You'll find this is very time consuming aswell and a lot more likely to burn yourself : ( if you can get to grips with the wand brilliant but I think you can get the same look if not better with a lot more of a simpler technique with what I have talked about : )

Well I hope this has helped you guys with some of your bad hair days. Hope all you lovelys have a fab day xxx

*tip always use a heat protection spray when using any heat appliance on your hair*
*also always shake your curls girls*

Curly blowdrys

Hey hey! This picture is one of my favourites to show off a bouncy blowdry. To get the most out of a blowdry (wether your doing it at home or by your hairdresser) you should be using volume products. On the majority of my clients to intend to have curls I always use a volume shampoo and conditioner, a mousse and a volume cream/gel.

Before actually taking sections and blowdrying you want to dry off the majority of the hair, atleast 75% then section as I have shown you to do when using heated rollers. Concentrate at the roots first to get dry then work down to the ends. You want to be using atleast 4 brushes as you are going to leave them in, the size of the brushes depends on the size of the curls you want.

When drying the hair you want to be blowdrying your hair under then roll your hair smoothly around the brush then leave in after all individual sections are complete go back to the first one you started with and take the hair gently and unravel out of the brush, smooth the curl round your finger then spray, carry on with the other 3 sections with the brushes in. Next take down the section above and repeat and the same for the top section.

Once competed give your hair  a shake and spray : D

Bouncy curls

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening wherever you are!
Today I am going to talk about culing your hair and creating a Cheryl Cole blowdry simply with rollers.  I am also going to tell you about what products are best to use. So to start off you are going to need a decent hairspray, nothing too sticky, something that has more of a mist, I prefer to use L'oreal satin spray, it definatly has the hold but no residue : )
The best types of rollers are the Babyliss Ceramic heated rollers (see pictures below)

Having the gaps down the sides help you at home to stop getting fish hook ends (straight ends). So to put these in you will have to section your hair.
The eaisest way is to section it into 3, start at the top and take your section from the temple on either side of the head and scoop the hair round to just below the crown, now put that section either in a bobble or in a clip. The next section should start at in the middle of your ears, take a straight line and put in a clip, these are your 3 sections.
Depending on how thick your hair is on your bottom section you can normally get away with 2 rollers and on this section I would use the smallest rollers and you want the get the ends of your hair into the gap in the roller then wrap under and apply the clip, then continue with the rest of this section.*The sections you take when putting rollers in dont have to be neat messy is always better*

This next section I would alternate the roller size, I would use small and medium (a little trick is to alternate the direction, if your a beginner I would stick to doing all the rollers the same way, but if your up for a challenge you can put a roller in under, which is the normal way, then the next one you would do it the opposite so you would put the hair on the back of the roller and wind outwards) so carry on with the rollers all the way round you should normally fit about 4-5 rollers in. *tip Have good size sections about 2 inches wide*
For the top section I would use the medium rollers underneath and leave the big ones for the top ie, the crown and fringe. All of these sections on top I would advise to do them on an angle (still 2-3 inches thick) The angle should be so when you tuck your hair under it should flow backwards off your face, so if your putting the front in the roller should be on its side by your temple coming back off your face.If you have a full fringe, I would advise not to put a roller in I would blowdry it and run over with the straightners. For a side fringe a big sized roller can be used,if your fringe is to the right and you like volume, roller it on the left side and under (this will give you body once the roller is taken out run through with your finger to the right side). If you prfer a sleeker look I would put your roller into the side your fringe flows to.

Once all your rollers are in I would give your hair a light mist of hair spray, then wait for your rollers to cool down completely. Take your rollers out and let the curls settle for a few minutes, tip your hair upside down and give it a little shake, DO NOT RUN YOUR FINGERS THROUGH THE CURLS! If you run your fingers through the curls this gives them a tendency to drop. Flip your hair back up and tweak the top to where you want it to go. Then spray! You can also add backcombing, there will be a section on this at a later stage : )

I know there are a lot of steps but I have tried to be in depth as possible to help you get great results!! Any questions and any other further info dont hesitate to email me!
